Re: Water Quality B/C

Macroinvertebrates were part of last year's rules and are removed from this year's rules. You are technically not required to know them. There was even an official rules clarification on soinc.org that replaced the "analyze and evaluate comparative macroinvertebrates" to "indicator o...

Re: Water Quality B/C ID/Question Marathon

Are you sure that you are not confusing it with potable water treatment? In the materials it says that is uses filtration and sedimentation in primary treatment (for sewage treatment, obviously) to get rid of suspended solids. Then secondary uses bacteria to digest the activated sludge and reduce t...

Re: Water Quality B/C ID/Question Marathon

[hide]I'm not sure...Primary treatment is the physical removal of the treatment. It consists of coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation. Coagulation adds chemicals such as lime and alum, which makes the particles in the water clump together. Flocculation is the water circulation that helps the ...

Re: Would you rather?

Chocolate Bars. 1) because I love dark chocolate and 2) because, if the car breaks down, what am I going to do? I don't (or wouldn't) have the money to fix it. However, I can enjoy the chocolate every day of my life and it will never run out. Would you rather eat healthily and not exercise a lot or ...

Re: Wheeled Vehicle B

For example, a piece of wire wrapped around the dowel to hold it in place could not be used because part of...

Are you from Ladue? Because they went to our Grayslake invitational in Illinois, and I heard that they were the best team from Missouri.

Re: Did you make it to Nationals this year?

If anybody from Daniel Wright sees this, good luck at nationals from SAA! I'm sure everybody else at SAA agrees! It is great to represent Illinois for the first time and to have the privilege to go along to nationals with such a distinguished team as you! See you in Orlando!

Re: Illinois 2014

I believe that competitiveness is a good trait to have, but people can actually work WORSE when under to much strain from coaches and parents. Luckily, I have so far avoided any coach in life who views winning as the most important thing and will stop at nothing to win (including yelling at their pu...

Re: Experimental Design B/C

Yeah...you should put the averages in both the statistics and your condensed table. Just a tip, I would label your condensed table condensed/summary table because I have seen two separate rubcrics, one which says condensed table and one that says summary table. We put both just in case.
