Is this something that can't be done with existing MediaWiki functionality? Have you done an extensive search of say, category options in wiki editing? They are tied together at the backend, as wiki uses the forum's user database for authentication, but what you're experiencing is that the login sessions are not propagated across from forum to wiki. That is too much work to fix.

My opinion is that this policy has a clause to waive compliance if the photos are intended to be posted publicly (i.e. on the Image Gallery). In other words, you can take photos and videos, but only if you post them here.

But then I might be biased.
