Re: Green Generation B/C

Great job to everyone that competed in Green Generation at the national tournament! How did you guys feel about the test? I liked the test quite a bit... Of course since I only received Green Generation a month ago I wasn't expecting to do well, but my 37th is an improvement from my 41st last year....

Re: National Test Discussion

If possible, could you post the top 6ish scores? Additionally, (this is kinda random) do you guys think one could email the proctors and ask them if we could see what we missed? There were some really interesting problems that even after a couple of days of researching them, I'm not quite sure what...

Re: 2016 National Tournament: University of Wisconsin

I was talking with the winning Meteorology team prior to the competition and noticed that their cheat sheet had very small font which would be exceptional for a cheat sheet. Does anyone know of a good application that allows for small font in the colored boxes which I was seeing left and right at th...

Re: National Test Discussion

Things went pretty well for me this year-- still quite surprised about fossils, though... Fossils (8th) - I really enjoyed this test but wasn't planning on getting anything above 20th place :P . There seemed to be a lot of critical thinking involved with the rate of sedimentation questions, magnesiu...

Re: Fossils B/C

Also, (apologies for the double post) what is the Nationals Fossils test like? I did not participate in the fossils event in C Division, and will not be doing so this year either, but I'm to assume that it is somewhat similar in format to the Division B test. Last year the test was comprised of rou...

Re: Invasive Species B/C

No,TheyAreNotBeyblades....jpg 1. Identify 2. Annual, biennial, or perennial? 3. Describe the fruits and seeds. 4. Where is it native to? If I had to make a (somewhat) educated guess...|1. Yellow Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris) 2. perennial 3. Most of Eurasia Definitely would like to know what is correc...

Re: Who's Going to Nationals 2016?

Wait, seriously....? Welcome to the forums! I never thought I'd see the day hat someone came from West Virginia... Agreed, and welcome! Thanks! This is only the second year WV has held a state tournament, and we've been lucky enough to win both years. Last year we were in way over our heads at nati...

Re: Green Generation B/C

I'm B45- so I'll be the 2nd group going in at 9:30. You're going in at 1:30 so I probably won't see you. :(.

I won't have an event when you get out, however, and my next event will be in the same building. Therefore, I might stop by and say hello (if I know how to identify you :P )

Re: Invasive Species B/C

I'm actually studying that right now. I'll try to let you know in a week. 8-) Thank you so much! On another note, most of the seeds of plants look awfully similar, even when magnified. In addition, I've seen a test from a highly competitive invitational in which the students actually had to identif...
