What forum members were running events, actually? Are there other alums who might be able to tell us where they are in the process?

Re: New Jersey 2020
Obviously I'm rooting for a particular team to win but I hope most of all that tests are a good enough quality that everyone feels their preparation was worth it and that we don't have any controversies with events being thrown out and stuff

Re: New Jersey 2020
The Facebook page said the tournament would happen but not the awards ceremony, a bit sad but I suppose better than cancelling the tournament?

Re: New Jersey 2019
To be fair, Monty is already pretty close to us. If you look at least year's results, http://njscienceolympiad.org/tournaments/2018/state/2018_state_finals_results.pdf , they were 29 points away from CMS, and the HS was 7 points from 2nd place, 27 away from 1st. Let's not forget 2017 C; Montgomery ...

Re: New Jersey 2019
As a grad who still likes to be nosy once in a while, are we all still waiting for the full results, the state website seems not to have been updated yet? I thought they only took a while to release results in 2017 because they were controversial but I guess...?

Re: How do you guys sign up for events?
We do it like lumo at the beginning of the season, but some events are definitely more under-subscribed than others, so at invitationals (especially since none of the invitationals follow our State schedule, so somebody will be hoping to do 2 events at States but they conflict with each other at inv...

Re: Dynamic Planet B/C
Does anyone know what the best ways to split this up with a partner are? On a lot of events there are ways to split it in two but everything seems really related on this one. I agree with what everyone else has said that you should have a pretty decent knowledge of everything, I guess things like h...

Re: Please list college choice and related info in list form
Visiting is really useful, I agree with east, you should try to visit a variety of uni types to see what feels right, but I wanted to clarify for anyone that it is possible to choose a school, and make an informed choice, without visiting if visiting that particular place isn't an option. If you're ...

Re: Science Olympiad at MIT Invitational 2019
Caltech's a much smaller place but there's no shortage of people willing to support every aspect of Science Olympiad. But that's probably just another reason why Caltech >> MIT. :P Chill...they're allowed to run their organization however they want. Y'all can talk about all the issues ya want, but ...
