Re: Ecology B/C
I know that there's a rotation of events, but does anyone know if Ecology is still going to be an event in the 2018-2019 season for division C? Or is it going to be replaced with water quality? Water Quality is rotating in, with the topic fresh water. Water Quality will stay for 2019 and 2020 befor...

STAY IN YOUR LANE ALEX I like Alex too but Alex, windu is right more than you are. https://i.imgur.com/iEIcz3Y.jpg I'm sorry, you must place this high to have a valid opinion on this event. Lol in our team's freshmen-run SciOly group chat we were just bashing people about needing to be this high to...

Re: Scioly Summer Study Session 2018
Oh thats kinda cool! Do you know if they intend to switch the rotation for other events? I don't even know why they're switching this one (or if that's what they're doing). The original purpose of having the flight events rotate from C to B was so that they didn't move from B to C along with compet...

Re: Releasing graded tests at Regionals and States
Ah that makes sense. So with the written events, would it be helpful to get the raw score and the range of scores back? Princeton's public score histograms this year were really really nice, without making the data too detailed it showed you whether scores were super close or spread out, and just g...

Re: MIT Invitational 2018
How about releasing this year's test archive for those of us who couldn't make it to the competition? It's after Nationals! :D :D :D Thanks MIT tests are prohibited from being traded; that's why they have watermarks. You're only allowed to access them if you went to the competition, and if it's fou...

I feel so honored, I will use this as motivation to try to revise the novel, and for what it's worth, I voted alicecrean for novel writing and she is wonderful and I know because I ate with her at Nats last year

Re: Releasing graded tests at Regionals and States
As am I. All of the supervisors I have spoken to are always in favor of releasing tests to students. This is mostly because they are all alumni and remember a time when they were competitors and wished they could see their tests... For graded tests, personally, no (even as a competitor). I opt for ...

Re: Did anybody here do Scioly in Division A?
How did Division A work? The same as B/C? Division A is different. Some states run it competitively statewide (e.g. Georgia, which has about 300 Div A teams and a 65-team Div A state tournament), others have various local tournaments, etc. Events are typically selected by the state or tournament fr...
