Re: Releasing graded tests at Regionals and States
So this doesn't exactly match up with the topic of this thread, but the discussion of studying for the specific ES at nats reminded me for it. My best event last year was probably Remote Sensing, but I felt like when I took the Nationals Remote Sensing test that I'd never taken a Remote Sensing tes...

Re: Did anybody here do Scioly in Division A?
I haven't really heard much about division A in our area in NJ although a couple of division A tournaments are linked by the NJSO website, but one of the coaches for Community's division B team (who has for several years hosted a division B summer Science Olympiad camp) is doing a division A camp th...

Re: Studying events ahead of the rulebook release

If you are unable to find an old copy of the rules, a good alternative is looking at old tests to see which kind of topics are tested. The reasoning behind them charging for old rule manuals is totally beyond me tbh....

Re: can we just take a moment to appreciate the gods who contribute to the wiki
Yeah. Also, thrift stores, used book stores, and estate sales are all good places to look for cheap textbooks. Not trying to detract from the value of the wiki, but just don't forget libraries exist - if you can renew a book repeatedly it's practically like you bought it for free, for the length of...

Re: can we just take a moment to appreciate the gods who contribute to the wiki
You don't need textbooks for studying. I personally feel like google is a great way to get information with a bit of searching and sometimes is more clear and covers some extra areas textbooks don't.
