Re: Detector Building C

Just wrapped up participating in this event at Solon, where the national event supervisor was present. The supervisor said that the intent of the event was not to have students curve-fit the Steinhart-hart equation but to derive their own equation. Apparently a rules clarification will be sent out....

Re: 2020 Solon HS Invitational

Is there a list of who will be running the events? I certainly have such a list, but it is not in a format that is easily publishable. Many events have unique combinations of people involved. For example, Astronomy is being written by an alumnus who contributes to the national exam every year, then...

Re: Science Olympiad at MIT Invitational 2020

hey so MIT is in less than a week so why not make some extensive (and prob very incorrect) predictions? I'll try and take into account unstacking and include B teams in predictions 1. Troy 2. Mason 3. 7L 4. Harriton 5. Clements 6. New Trier 7. Solon A 8. LASA 9. ABRHS A 10. Columbia 11. WWPN A 12. ...

Re: 2020-2021 Events

I dunno. If committees can't work together because of personal differences, then NSO has much larger issues than just accidental event overlaps. That's where I will leave it. I don't have the impression that the committees are incapable of working together due to "personal differences" and I don't ...

Re: 2020-2021 Events

This seems like a major flaw to me, verging on critical. What possible reason is there to not coordinate between committees to make sure accidental overlaps don't occur? Competitors aren't concerned with what events come from what committees, all that matters is the set of 23. Given that each commi...

Re: 2020-2021 Events

We don't really coordinate too much between the committees and hence neither event is related in our minds to the other. This seems like a major flaw to me, verging on critical. What possible reason is there to not coordinate between committees to make sure accidental overlaps don't occur? Competit...

Re: Ohio 2020

2. Solon ... 1. Solon ... 1. Solon ... 1. Solon gg Looking forward to seeing the scores. Also, Solon generally goes into MIT as their third tournament, so MIT as their fourth should be interesting - they have a strong tendency to be weaker at the first few tournaments. Kenston B Kenston C Westlake ...

Re: Anatomy and Physiology B/C

Thank you so much to everyone for answering my questions, but I have two more  : 1. I'm planning on putting the muscle list and everything we need to know abt them such as the origin, insertion, etc. in the cheat sheet bc I dont think I have enough time left to study that since I just starte...
