Re: Mission Possible C

Can anyone help me with rule 4g and 5g please? The question might be silly but the rules are very confusing to me... So 4g basically says that you need to have a timer that lasts for 30 seconds without electricity or springs, and for every second after that you receive 1-2 points depending on if it...

data sheet: http://cdn.spectrumbrands.com/~/media/Rayovac/Rayovac%20Industrial/Files/specs/Lantern%20%20Barricade%20941.ashx That battery may not be the strongest, but may be able to work. We need more information - what are you trying to power and how do you have your tasks wired. So far all I did...

Re: Hovercraft B/C

Can someone please confirm that overcharging is **not** allowed? Rule 3f. has the ambiguous words 'as calculated by their labels" which I suspect has some folks thinking that it is permissible. The Science Olympiad Battery Policy states "monitor recharging of batteries to ensure they are ...

Re: Mission Possible C

I'm using a 6v power supply but I can't run more than one circuit off of it. The circuits work fine individually but when operating together only the first one works. How can I get more juice out of this battery to power all the circuit I need without using additional batteries? Thanks for everythi...

Re: Mission Possible C

Walked into discuss with event supervisor to be told that they decided that I should have the penalty and then proceded with my coaches to discuss rules and eventually convinced him... Worth the time though. (ended up getting first). Thanks! Congratulations! I wanted to stop by and see your device ...

Yes, that should count as two actions, if the water event triggers the final task.

Re: Mission Possible C

Most of my actions are relatively instantaneous. Should I add a short delay of maybe 500 ms between each action? Most of my actions have an Attiny25 attached to them. Wow, thats a good way to save money but still use microcontrollers for everything. I would add a delay if you can easily because it ...

Personally, I'd say its against the spirit of the rules, but I doubt an ES would stop it. Its harmful anyway because it gives less time to get bonus points with a timer.

Re: Exothermic Task

People keep claiming that transfers need to be unique, but I cant seem to find that in the rules. One part cannot be used for more than one transfer, but I cant see why that means two transfers have to be unique if they fulfill the requirements for both tasks. Is there a rule I am missing? So, based...

Re: Mission Possible C

I have 8 tasks + start and final and spent about 70, but the total cost is probably closer to 150. If you count everything we borrowed but will give back at the end of the year, probably about 200. We got a lot of stuff free from our school and I had a lot of stuff from previous projects.
