Re: Towers B/C

Good looking build, and jig. Nice job. Unless there's something going on that's not visible, should work well. One little thing you may want to try next time- putting the upper ladder between the legs, so load block sits directly on leg ends. You may run into crushing as you have it now. That might...

Re: Pictures, Videos, and Scores

Took 4th at Frankenmuth with tower efficiency of 1706. It was a C tower, and I miscalculated my legs, resulting in one of my legs being .3 cm away from spanning the bonus circle. This was a hard and disappointing hit, as our tower had been built for bonus. The tower was the type that Balsa Man has ...

Re: Tips for a New Supervisor

How are super's measuring the height of the towers to make sure they are over 50 or 60 cm? Are they using a tape measure, stick. What's a safe way to do this?

Re: Towers B/C

I was trying to post a picture, but no longer see the image tab any more. I only get an options tab at the bottom of the page. Is this still available or do I need some special permission?

Re: Loading/Testing

Great topic... I've always taught start slow (not painfully slow) to get the 'bed' set and then gradually open to full. "Get it all in there before it breaks". Because we usually build and test several bridge, tower, booms (BTB) the team is comfortable with the pour. One observation we have noticed ...

Re: Pictures of the towers with some analysis

This shall only consist pictures and design and you will give a little analysis :D :D :D :D :D what is bucket stabilization     This question could have been asked in the 'Towers B/C' thread. But to answer your question.. bucket stabilization is to prevent the bucket fro...
