Good Balsa vs Bad Balsa... As discussed above, it's difficult to say what is good or bad. It depends where you want to use the piece you have. Sounds like you had a 7 pound piece that broke so easy. team members and I have been building different kinds of truesses. We keep hitting a bridge weight of around 15-18 grams and able to carry between 10 to 13 kilos. Are you guys seeing same results?

Has anyone given any thought as to where they are going to mount the loading block? If on top, you can just sit it on the top cords, but that's a compression member. If you mount it on the bottom, it's a tension member, but how would you place it on the bottom member if you have a vertical or diagon...
