After all other planned scorable actions have been attempted, the golf ball from Start Action in 3.b. must be moved at least 20 horizontal cm from it's original resting position and placed on the golf tee... am i correct in interpreting this rule such that...

Clarifying "Initiates the next action..."
Scorable Actions: For the most part, the rules are fairly easy to understand... but just want to get a better understanding of what they mean by "initiates the next action." Take for example, the following two action in sequence: Action 3 (domino) Action 2 (rotate a wheel and axle) If we f...

Re: Rule 5d
Is it me or did I not see any requirement for dowel to be 20cm tall for photogate? I guess with the boom arm swinging it will interfere? So if dowel need only extend to 1cm from surface then there is less tendency for it to break... But whether this touches the cup or not would also seriously depend...

Re: Boomilever B/C
Is a wall likely to have the plumb change throughout the day, like starting perfectly vertical but end up tilting? If so, would it be more beneficial to test within the first few blocks of an invitational in hopes that the wall started out closest to vertical at the beginning of the day? i think th...

Dave’s kits are great.
But for first time builders, definitely get started with easier... and hope that the kids read the instruction or you’ll face similar experience as I have... an airplane designed to go down not up... wings were mounted upside down...

Re: Boomilever B/C
While optimal situation is to have a perfectly perpendicular wall, the rule may be implemented so that all contestants are tested with the same level playing ground affecting, if any, benefits or disadvantages evenly throughout the numerous contestants...?
