Re: It's About Time C

Wow, that's like nothing. My regional had like 30 multiple choice or something like that and some short answers and math and diagrams and tables. I don't remember quite how many there were, but it was a long test. I think the state test didn't have as many questions, though they still had a lot, but...

Re: Astronomy

Hopefully not, I don't think they're that mean to make it go on for four years.

Re: Google Sketchup

We used it in our Advanced DDP class for a local competition to design a park pavillion/bird watching area but I've never thought of designing any building plans in it. If we need plans I use AutoCAD, I had to do it for our Elevated Bridge team because neither of them have any DDP experience.

But for this event you're really going to be strapped for time in Part II so the more you know the less time you are going to spend searching through a huge binder for the information.

Re: Next Years Events

Not to be mean or anything but we've known most of this already, it's been posted earlier in the topic.

But Battery Buggy would replace Scrambler and Junkyard with Robo-Cross. I believe that Cell Bio is staying and Ornithology replacing Herpetology.

Re: Science Olympiad E-Kit

Oh lol, our team uses mylar, and I'm not very familiar with the event, so I didn't think of those other options. Oh, and bring LOADS of extra goggles. Someone will always forget their goggles, whether it's your team or another team. Always be willing to lend a team goggles if they don't have them, ...

Re: Science Olympiad E-Kit

I would definitely pack more than just one #2 pencil, like 3 plus an extra mechanical one just in case.
