Re: Robot Arm C
Rule 7d is included. I have an idea for an arm with a single motor; using a complex transmission to direct power to different joints, though I think this would prove to be slow, clunky, fragile, and hard to operate, so you probably wouldn't get full points and the advantage of having one motor would...

Re: Robot Arm C
My copy is the same. I guess I just missed it. How many motors do you think the national-winning arm will have?

Re: Robot Arm C
I keep calculating a maximum score of 93, not 94. Am I missing something?

Re: Forestry B/C
I am absolutely shocked that they kept the Audubon-based 2004 format. Any thoughts about still going to use a non-Audubon guide?

Re: Robot Arm B/C [Trial]
Last year's FIRST Robotics Competition involved building a robot that had a an arm. Would teams be able to take these apart and modify them for competition? I am just asking because many Robotics people who also do Science Olympiad might have the same idea. Possibly, what were the dimensions and re...

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
Thanks for your reply. For people who are going to use books that don't contain some of the trees, how are you going to deal with that? Are you just going to completely memorize those? Or would you just rather get a less practical field guide with all the trees? I think when they made the new list,...

Re: Preliminary:Forestry
I think I'm going to get two guides as recommended by Cheesy Pie. Besides NWF, I'm going to get one for supplementary info. Which do you think is better for information, Sibley, or Audobon? Sibley is very pictoral, and audbon isn't quite, but does anyone know how many species on the old list are ac...

Re: 2011-2012 Events
Is there any chance that Picture This could make a comeback? I know someone who I'd love to be partners with (in class we spend more time than we should having drawing wars with each other :P ). I hope Picture This makes a comeback, too. At an invitational last (2010-2011) year, Picture This was a ...
