Re: Direction Confusion

I'm pretty sure that when they say u can use only tape, they mean that u cant use glue on your parachute and ping pong ball. You can have strings but it can be attached to parachute and ping pong ball ONLY using TAPE. Hope that helps According to the event supervisor from VA, this means that the st...

Re: Meteorology B

you’re too big brain just don’t do anything and you’ll still get first in all your events. from what it sounds like, PASO meteo seems easy, so I would focus more time on other events, but still work on meteo a bit. lolll. yeah that was my plan and then i went down a rabbit hole about lightning and ...

Re: Direction Confusion

My partner and i are new to this competition, and in the directions it’s states that you are allowed to only use tape to attach the ping pong ball the the parachute. Does this mean we can still use string? I'm pretty sure that when they say u can use only tape, they mean that u cant use glue on you...

Re: Times and sec/ft

wow that's a lot. I got ~16.5 secs in a 20 foot ceiling (we would've gotten 20+ secs, but it hit a bookshelf on the way down since it was run in a library). that was our best launch that time (no AC), but we still got first lol.

Re: Meteorology B

Yes, I have to study for Meteo because have you seen how insane these Kennedy, Jeffrey Trail, and Kraemer kids are? They are geniuses and I can not compete with them unless I study. You're lucky that you are in PA and not CA cause the competition is usually what everyone expects it to be, having Ke...

Re: Meteorology B

yeah lol you have to study really hard to beat powerhouses in almost all events (except stuff like mys arch and WIDI). the kids at these powerhouse schools rarely start knowing everything about a topic, so if you and your partner study harder than them, you can actually beat them. even if you don't,...

Re: Road Scholar

1. 760 feet 2. 780 feet 3. 170 meters (550 feet) Basically I just used a piece of paper to mark the distance between each location and used it on the scale in the lower right corner. Good job. From what I remember, those are the answers. I may have lost the paper somewhere though. Also, when is you...
