Re: Texas 2013
The reason they didn't do as well as might have been expected is because Nationals is different from State . Not just in terms of events, but in terms of testing style. In terms of atmosphere. In terms of basically everything. Clements has never done it. I'm sure if they go to Nationals next year, ...

Re: Robot Arm C
Hmm, the moved target boxes probably had some effect since that adds just that much more time to each action. Did any of those teams that did the height bonus not get prefect score because of some mistake that disqualified an item? Or did they just choose to do the height task?

Re: Robot Arm C
I always wondered how powerful that spring lynxmotion sold since they didnt give any K value type information about it, did you find that it was strong enough to provide any significant assistance with the shoulder servo? I used a spring off of a patio-door-pulling-thing I found at True Value that ...

Re: laptop or ipad for highschool?
I never took notes in high school (...bad influence) Same here I'd reccomend a laptop. I've done notes on both my MacBook and iPad and definitely prefer having the physical keyboard. Re: Texas 2013
Lots of discussion going on here -I think having Texas events is good thing. It allows teams to focus more on the things they're better at and enjoy the competition more. Also, it adds another aspect to the competition because when choosing which events to exempt you have to consider which events mi...

Re: Texas 2013
Clements did many trial events. LASA did all the national events, but Seven Lakes did WGYN rather than WIDI.ptkid wrote: I heard that Clements and Riverwood substituted some national events for Texas state events. LASA, Seven Lakes, and Beckendorff didn't.
