Re: Herpetology B/C
That seems to be the trend that I've seen. I've taken two herpetology tests that were station based, but that seems highly improbable at nationals. Not quite sure what would make you think stations is improbably for an ID event. ID events at nationals (and any good competition) are almost always ph...

How many stations do you guys think the test will be? I'd say 20-25 about 2 min stations.

Re: Herpetology B/C
You wouldn't be able to see the questions while you're at the next station though? Or am I being dumb? you won't but if you remember the questions/write them down Or like it was at my state competition where the stations were close enough to the point you could see the one in front and behind you. ...

Re: Herpetology B/C
So I've heard conflicting information on this: Can you remove pages from your binder during competition? Or do all the pages need to remain in the rings at all times? Thanks Rules say it can be removed The only reason you would really want to do this is to remove pages you don't want in your binder...

Re: Herpetology B/C
I would suggest not even risking breaking the rule and just incorporating the info from the field guide into the binder. What would you do if you wanted the pictures? You could scan them/copy them, but idk if the quality would be very good if you tried to make them larger. I think the pictures woul...

Re: Herpetology B/C
Technically a photocopied field guide isn’t a field guide? I thought that “intact field guide” would be either an actual page of a field guide or just the whole field guide, since they are intact. Also, intact means 1) “not altered, broken, or impaired; remaining uninjured, sound, or whole; untouch...

Re: Herpetology B/C
I'm assuming by "intact" they mean no complete pages from field guides, just fragments of information scattered throughout your notes or paraphrased. Photocopying the pages would be the same as ripping out pages and putting them in your binder. I think they mean intact by exact from the b...
