Congrats! I think you should check out the event forums and the wiki; that is what they're there for, after all.

Pretty much, everyone wants to go to Nationals, but obviously not everyone can go. If you work your hardest and you don't get to Nats or if you don't medal, remember that you did your best and there are other chances to succeed, either in Sci. Oly. or in real life.

for fossils and ornithology know that if the test is really hard most teams think that and if its really easy that they will also think that...

Speaking of the ornithology test, Does anyone that took the national test last year remember if there were live specimens or not?

They didn't go last year.

Virginia, I think.
Really? We had one team that might have been from DC, but otherwise I think the DC/VA states are completely separate.

One thing: Our team has 13 people, half of them are either insane or can't focus, we can't go through ten minutes without something that would so get us detention happens, the day before competition most of us stay up past midnight then wake up at six or earlier...really makes me wonder how in the world we got first at State for fifteen years out of the sixteen years we've had the team (the other year, we got second). Makes me wonder how in the world we do so well at Nats, too...

Physics is difficult for 99% of the world's population because they don't understand it. The other 1% know too much.
