I think it has a big advantage to say that you are team 1 rather than team 39.

At States I didn't even know what team number we were until my partner told me I was late for Helicopters...

It feels really good to say "Team C-2" rather than "C-52".
Wouldn't you agree?

Meh, I don't really care about team numbers. I mean, at state we were team C68. (There are only 60 teams between B and C... don't know what happened) I didn't feel any worse for saying we were C68 rather than, say C65. If I said I was team C1, I would have felt like I was playing battleship or something.

I don't know, at Nationals it feels nice to say. I don't know why.

Yeah, I guess it would be nice not to say "yeah, we're 3-58... no, that's completely unrelated to how well we will actually do". :?

Oh, so the second-place team gets the higher number. Good to know, thanks!

Just today, they updated the team number listings on the NSO website to reflect that.
