Last year, we had a similar issue, and to fix it we used washers when attaching the CDs to the axles. We found these rubber washers at Home Depot, that matched the inside diameter of our CDs and the outside diameter of our axles. We glued the CDs to the washers, then the washers to our axles. This basically eliminates wobble, so long as you glue them firmly and ensure that the CD is perpendicular to the axle (90 degrees).

No problem, here's one like what we used, but you could always use something similar. the washer

The trigger PENCIL has to be held vertically when pressing the metal/plastic bait pedal. Hope that cleared it up. :D

There is no rule about what material to use for the car, right? (sorry double post) ಠ_ರೃ

No, the rules do not specify a material, except for the fixed point which must be a paperclip.

Also, do people suggest to make the car with an adjustable mechanism to allow for calibration, or to make it fixed and eliminate inconsistencies?

My choice has always been to include some sort of a steering mechanism in the car. You may build the vehicle so that it will travel perfectly straight, but overtime it will be altered. A fixed body/axle doesn't allow for adjustment or correction later on.

Thanks. We decided on a mechanism that will allow for slight changes in the axle's angle.
