When calculating PTI it ONLY goes from 1-4, right? Class 5 doesn't count into it since they are air-breathing? I thought it was that way, but taking a test today, it said that class 5 did count?

The glass is neither half-full nor half-empty: it's twice as big as it needs to be. (:

Its leaves are threadlike, so I don't think it is a Eurasian Water Plant. I think it might be the Water Hyacinth.

It can't be the Water Hyacinth, because the plant looks like this:

And then this is the Purple Loosestrife:

Edit: BINGO. Hydrilla; I think they're an invasive species for Florida?

Wow, you even found the exact picture thank you so much. However, why did they give us an invasive species that is not on the list. Are they allowed to do that?

No, they're not supposed to give you anything that isn't in the rules, unless the state made a clarification that allowed the addition of Hydrilla. (You could try checking your state's science olympiad page to see if they did?) But I mean, I don't even think the state adds stuff into the rules.... They only do that for state events..

Well they didn't clarify the addition of anything. I guess be prepared for everything :/

Ehhh.... I thought states had to follow the general guidelines, so its sort of hard to pick from 3 choices that don't seem right.

Yeah, but out of the three, Eurasian Water Milfoil comes closest..... But they really shouldn't have the Hydrilla on there...
