Hematite was the correct answer; though I see where you could say it was tiger eye. Sorry, bad question.
(By the way, that rock was on my school's tryout test, and the correct answer was hematite.)

Bauxite Mineral on the list Personally, I always thought it was a rock because it itself is comprised of several minerals
