Re: Keep the Heat B/Thermodynamics C
Hi, everyone.
Just a quick question. I was wondering if PVC pipe would be considered a commercial insulator. The only reason I'm using it is because it was the only thing I could find that had an inside diameter of slightly more than 1.5cm.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Keep the Heat B/Thermodynamics C
nope. it is not. you don't use it as a insulator in "real" life. Also there has been a clarification on the national site for this. (too lazy to put that up, maybe sometime later)

Hiiiii....
Sorry if this has already been asked, but what kind of equations could be helpful for the test part of this event?
Thanks in advance

If you look at soinc.org under Keep the Heat, there is this awesome link that leads you to a research site with all the equations.

We used Vernier temperature probes (for both testing and in competition).MagicalMurder wrote:What are you guys using to measure temperature?

Might be the guy from IL States. He also ran our Regionals, and I think he said that he ran Nats.Robertchan99 wrote:Any idea who is running Keep the Heat at Nationals?
