I have created the page for you, but it is entirely blank, if you need help with the formatting i can help you at school, otherwise just scroll to the bottom of the forestry wiki and click on tabbing tips under see also. :D
Whoa, thanks :D You're amazing! I'll see you in school, as we continue the mad dash to prepare for Nationals.

It should be done soon, but I wouldn't suggest looking at the page until I announce that it's finished.

Hi, new here, but just was on this forum and wanted to make this point:
In Ohio typically it's about 60-90 seconds a station, about 3 questions in the station (e.g. scientific name, then 2 other questions) and my typical strategy is to use my giant "cheat sheet" and carry the NWF, which ideally is tabbed and use that for the description questions. The second sheet has all the descriptions of leaves, twigs, et cetera, and also helpful tree terminology. For my second "backup" guide, I use the Sibley since it also has Toyon and Black and Frosted Hawthorns in it.
Also, that hint about the Juglandaceae was really helpful, thanks.

Hm. Here in New York, I've mostly seen 1-2 minutes or so.

That's a pretty good plan, expecially if it works for you. Sibley has a lot of writing space, so you can pencil or sharpie (I prefer thin sharpie) notes onto the pages, especially if you have random facts you want to add onto the descriptions in the book.

You're welcome! I checked it against the NWF and Sibley, so hopefully it's correct. Let me know if you catch any errprs/

Hey guys, I have this event in a couple of hours! I'm really stressed because of all of the time I have put into this event.

It went pretty well. They were all live specimens, but that wasn't a problem (sometimes people have complained about poor quality live specimens). The only thing was that there weren't many questions! There were 10 ID stations with 1 multiple question for each. So, there only ended up being 20 questions total! I feel like if you miss 1 ID, you are already down like, 5 places because then, you got the question that went with it incorrect! 1 wrong ID got you to an 90% :O. But I think we did pretty well considering we were thrown into this event! We went forestry try-hard for 2 weeks!

Well, our test was too large, and therefore, no one got to finish it. However, good job! For that, you all did really well. I would have probably liked that format more. How much time were you given per question?

3 minutes, which I think is a little more than average or the maximum.

Oh, yeah, it is! I wish we had that kind of time.
good job! For Michigan State we had 25 min outdoor about 25 questions and 25 min indoor about 25 questions. So for outdoor my partner made me sprint from tree to tree lol it was a workout :)
How was the outside event facilitated? I'm curious, because I had always tried to imagine what it would be like!
