If you want to upload notes to the wiki (I highly recommend this for the warm fuzzy feeling you get), you can go to Special:Upload and upload your files there. If you want to post documents straight to the forums you'll probably going to have to use a doc-sharing program like Google Docs because we don't have one yet built in here. Alternatively, you could upload to the wiki and link to it on the forums.

It's not so bad. But how can I get a good map that isn't outdated?

Are there any practice tests for which I don't have to buy extra maps?

Sometimes you can get a topographic map for free, but you have to print it and tape it together.

My partner and I have our binder full of information and examples with extra tools. Our team carries zip-loc baggies with all of the stuff we need at our competition which is where we keep our tools and never forget string.

If anyone is in Road Scholar B. for PA. States, please tell me if we need to bring a map because at regionals we needed a map, but our coach was in the hospital so we were not informed. Sorry about the run-on

You should not need to bring your own map to this event.

I'm in Road Scholar PA and in the past 3 years I've been at states (and at all competitions I've ever attended) we have never needed to bring a map.
Road Scholar seems to depress everyone on my team who does it, but it's my favorite event...
