The clumping at the end of the branch is very distinctive of that group (Loblolly, Pitch, Shortleaf, Longleaf)

Thanks! Please don't double-post, though.

1. List two types of parasitic insects (general common names are fine) that this tree hosts.
2. Name three types of wildlife (again, general common names are fine) that browse on this tree's seeds.
3. This tree's bark can be used in the treatment of:
     a) Influenza
     b) Dysentery
     c) Shingles
     d) Heart disease

Insects are slightly off (you didn't need to be that specific- I found that wood, seed, and phloem borers, as well as the redbud leaffolder, were parasites of this tree), but everything else is fine- your turn to post!

Yeah. Lithocarpus densiflorus it is. I had that on my forestry test just recently.

Questions:
What disease was discovered via this tree in 1995?
What other, unrelated tree in similar habitat has also been linked to the same disease?
