Do you know what would cause the tint/color change? It also doesn't look as conchoidal as obsidian usually does, so how would you ID this?

thsom is correct! it's red obsidian. I don't think that it's tinted though...

true true. I did R&M last year and hated it, but didn't do too badly, surprisingly enough. Also, correct.
