really good question btw
So far...medaling has been a rollercoaster

the picture on the left is feldspar, and the picture on the right is of beryl, tourmaline, and feldspar. They share the mineral feldspar, and in the Bowen's reaction series, feldspar is the first to form in the continuous series.

You got the iD right! good job! like describe the continuous series in detail...like the formation of the feldspars in declining temperatures

the plagioclase feldspar forms from calcium-rich magma, and orthoclase then forms in cooler, sodium-rich magma. After the orthoclase, muscovite forms. Last but not least, quartz will form.
