Well, based on our results, you know we did poorly. xD We forgot the formulae for, like, everything (volume, density, etc.). We were unbelievably unprepared. But on things like temperature, that insanely easy angle, and the lengths, we did fairly well. I wish I could see what I got and what I didn't so I could improve.
Yeah, giving back tests would really help for any event.

Yeah, they basically shred all of the papers the day after the tournament, no chance of getting them back.

I do remember some of the Rocks and Minerals stuff, since I graded it, and if anyone has questions about it, I'll try to answer em.

I didn't actually do Rocks and Minerals, but my friends said that they didn't have enough time.

It was a big test, it probably had too many questions; the writer cut down his 171 question monstrosity from high school states only to 160 questions, because he really didn't want to cut out too much.

Still, there's really no way to do more than 2 minutes per station with 20 stations, we were barely finishing on time as it was. Hate to sound mean, but if you can't identify the samples by sight, or at least narrow them down significantly, you're not gonna finish most stations. If you can ID it by sight, then 2 minutes is way more than enough time to answer the relatively simple questions (when I used to compete, I'd finish stations in 20-30 seconds and just stand around waiting), but if you're wasting time flipping through your binder to even have a sense of what you're looking at, then you've already lost the event.

Wow; gneissisnice, I have to say, you're truly amazing. I admire you, and that sounds freakin' weird, but I really do. I hope I can be like you when I get older. That's me talking. <3
