That's interesting. I would actually prefer that host schools did accept medals/trophies, because one of the best parts of invitationals (in my mind, at least) is being able to judge the relative strengths of all the teams and seeing how well they do in specific events and overall.

Or if they don't accept medals/trophies, at least including their rankings on the final scoresheet so other teams can see how they would have done.

Sorry, I was under the assumption that host schools usually forego medals. I guess it just depends, then. But it was very gracious for both Muscatel and Troy to do so! :D And at the Muscatel invitational, there was a final spreadsheet that did include the scores of the teams with the hosting school (as well as another sheet without). I believe this was the same for Troy as well..

However, I believe the other teams only received results not including Troy.

That's interesting, I wasn't aware of that.

I've been to invitationals at 2 high schools and neither of them have done this. My impression is that it's not the norm for the host to forego medals.

At the Twin Tiers invitational, Athens Area High School (hosts) forewent all medals and scoring.

The unwritten rule in Ohio is the host school does not accept medals at C division competitions. B division usually does however.
Releasing the raw score summary varies for each invitational with some releasing all scores, others releasing all but the host, and others releasing none at all.

I earlier made an error in saying that other schools did not see Troy scores. All participating coaches received two results tables; one with Troy teams factored in, one without. Sorry for the confusion.
