Dang. I have to say.. This is a event much like Triple E..but many more species..and a WHOLE binder=__=
But.. The rules are very clear and I'm looking forward to this event. It will require a lot of studying and note making and article printing >__<

Rules: http://www.soinc.org/sites/default/file ... ecies3.pdf :geek:

One concern I do have is.. How broad this event is. ANYTHING could come on this (not literally..but..you get what I mean  )

SOOO MUCHHH STUDYING. SOOOO MUCHHH FUNNNNN (sarcasm very much intended)

Any questions? Because if YOU ask.. I might remember some xD
Yayyy..k bye:]

Well, let's share some ideas here.

We're making binders that follow the format of the species list (so four categories) and a section for rules and the list and a section for general information.

Both students will have a binder for studying but we'll take in one binder.

Yea... That's what we're doing too. There's just so much material to cover.. It's kind of nerve-racking.. And the fact that there is only about 3 weeks..or less than that.. THERE'S JUST SO MUCH MORE TO DO...goodbye sleep.. We shall reunite after May 18.

Well, I figure that you do the best with the time you got. Teams that have Invasive in their state, or knew that they were going to Nat's months ago have had months to study, configure their notebooks, and read up on the subject.

Those of us who weren't really expecting to do this (and have State late in the season) have our three weeks to prep.

And...

It is what it is. It's a trial event and that's all. Of course you want to do well but in the grand scheme of things... Oh, just go have fun with it. Not worth the anxiety and stress.

Here take some St. Johns Wort and calm down...

Looking forward to it being a real event soon. It really is interesting.

I've hit the after hours of cramming for this event.
Let's pretend I'm going to do well...
before I throw myself off the nearest cliff.
This better be an event next year so I can keep the binder hahaha

I don't remember seeing it on the tentative event list for 2013-14. Too bad because it's awfully fun. We just moved from a 3" binder to a 4" (and most are double sided sheets!) We'll hang on to that binder because maybe one day it will be a "real" event.

We took a long road trip getting here to Nationals, with a side trip to Michigan last weekend. Road trips can get boring but we have had fun looking for invasive species along the way, both on the road and in the yards of the homes we visited and I think we've seen about 10 different invasive plants.

Yes, I hope it's a real event some day. I want to coach it...
