Anyone up for basketball tournament? It wouldn't have to be too big, maybe around 5-10 teams would be fine. There are courts outside near some of the dorms and hopefully we can use the gym too. Maybe 3 on 3 tournament so one team can enter multiple teams. I'm from Acton-Boxborough (MA) btw.

I'd love to, if you can find a court.

Okay, so here's the plan:

WHEN: 1:00 on Friday. Try to be there a little early. Ideally, based on the number of teams I have signed up, I'd like to have three games for each team at 1:00, 1:45, and 2:30. This would still give you plenty of time to get to the team barbecue at 3:30.
WHERE: We'll try to have it at the playing fields, but there's a good chance they could be off-limits or in-use. If you show up to the playing fields after 1:00 and (1) No one is there or (B) A bunch of people are there not playing ultimate, what we'll do is move up to that nice centralized circle with the paths crisscrossing (Right above Lot 17: Look here). If that's taken, we'll improvise.
WHAT to bring: We should have 4 or 5 games going at a time, so we're going to need discs and we're going to need cones (which I really underestimated the cost of... so we're going to need some more)
WEATHER: The forecast calls for isolated thunderstorms as of right now. Should weather be an issue, you can decide if you want to wait it out and try to get a game in or leave. But I've played ultimate in raging snowstorms before, so I think we can suck it up and dodge the lightning. ;)

This should take two hours tops, so there's plenty of time to do other things (WW-P South... this is directed at you... we still want you to come) throughout the day. If you have any more questions, post 'em here.

Hey can you sign up Acton-Boxborough Regional High School (Division C, MA). We'll try to have a team of around 7 people or so, maybe a little more.

Penncrest is in. I'm pretty sure we have at least 7 people.

Solon Middle School is definitely in, with 9 members.
Solon High School is tentatively going to try to field a team as well.

I'm glad to see such interest. It looks like we'll be able to have a full-fledged tournament in C division.

On Friday, I'll be in a red shirt with a blue hat- look for me when you get there.

UPDATE: There is a chance that the playing fields will be taken up by other, more official activities tomorrow. There is also a chance that the backup area will also be taken. Should this happen, there is another location that would also work- the Village Fields at the far north of the campus. (Unfortunately this is on the other side of the campus). I'll post a final decision on here tomorrow at about 10 AM, so pay attention to the thread if you can.

WW-P South will be able to come, provided we are able to find the location ;P
