Well I think it's better seperated, makes both threads less cluttered from the other kind of event's chatter. I mean the thread would become rather jumpy imo if there was a merge.
Enough off topic we should continue discussing Next Years Building events. :D

I remember DS saying something along the lines of "make a topic, any topic", to see if the new message board was working... I think that this was the first user started topic.... haha

The thread was started to talk about this year's events last year, so merging it with a thread started about next year's events this year would be very confusing.

The thread is fine. Nothing wrong with having a separate thread for building events.

You're thinking of Mission Possible. Junkyard challenge is kinda like Mystery Architecture. However, before competition, you know what you'll have to build, but you won't know what materials they will give you.

Ok, that's fine.

Isn't Battery Buggy kind of like EV? Compute this will be interesting in C...but this thread is supposed to only be for building events, right? Other events go in the other thread?

Yeah, I think that they're generally the same.

Battery Buggy was the name of a battery-powered vehicle event that was around before EV came out. Now, it seems like EV with a lobotomy, but that's because it's pretty much Wheeled Vehicle with batteries instead of a rubber band.
