Is this a trial event in your state?
2007 Events: Remote Sensing, Astronomy, Fermi Questions, SumoBots
2008 Events: Remote Sensing, Astronomy, Herpetology, SumoBots, Forensics

So what is it about, we have Solar Power where you have to build a device to collect energy from a lightbulb.

Do you have a fan and need to generate as much power as possible?

what you have to do is construct a windmill like device out of a cd, tape, a manilla folder, and printer paper( not sure about the printer paper). then you have to have it generate as much power as possible

Thats so lame, we have solar power in NY. Cant they be original and give us more interesting events?

use the materials and build something that resembles a windmill, thats all i can think of

how are they going to measure how much power you generate?

you might want to ask someone thats good at mystery arch or another building event at your school for some help

Sliced Bread and I are the only ones on our team that have any experience with build event that didn't graduate. but I've got an idea of what to do.

We have this event in div B too only its a regular event not just a trial. I'm probably going to build it then give it to the physics lab people to enter. Unless they want to build it
