my team just used the proppeler from a kit
States

1st- Anatomy
4th- Dynamic Planet
2nd- Water Quality
2nd- Write it Do it

Depending on which kit you used, it was probably the Ikara. I think Zeigler's kit comes with the narrow-bloaded Ikara and Harlan's kit used to come with the wide-blade Ikara, although he didn't make a kit this year.

You can also order Ikara (and other) props directly for three to five dollars from Peck Polymers or FAI Model Supply. Possibly other sources too.

Note, the Ikara props are light enough to need little modification for SO use, mainly trimming to diameter, possibly repitching for optimum match to your rubber. All other props that I'm aware of are cheaper, but will need more significant modification as they weigh 5-6 gms of your 7 gram budget.

'yea pretty much everything from rubber to tissue tubes has been covered already. Can't think of much else. Just look back through the thread and you'll find anything that you need.

the ikara are the best and is what most people use. there are two types though regular and wide blade.

Personally, I'd suggest a broad blade ikara. If you modify it yourself a little bit, you can make a pretty efficient propeller. Don't like the regular style Ikara though. The regular style uses a blade where the majority of the plastic is behind the spar, which is pretty dumb. Blades with plastic mainly in front of the spar flex at high torque, slowing climb = more time before you hit the ceiling.

the flare is the broad blade.........
the small one doesn't have a name it's just called regular and the big one is called broad blade "flare style"
