Re: Out and Back
This sounds really interesting. Maybe it'll replace scrambler next year?

Re: Out and Back
petty sure you have to start and stop from the same spotParadox21 wrote:To the people who have seen this event before, my interpretation of the rules was that there was a starting line and a finish point. So if you knew you would have the correct distance but during the run your car goes right 5 cm left then you could start the car 5 cm to the right of the ending point so that it would end on the final point. Is that correct or do you have to start and finish in the exact same spot?

Re: Out and Back
Hi, i was wondereing if the whole car had to fit in the 30 cm by 30 cm box or just a certain part, because my car is longer than thirty centimeters I thought that maybe it could be just the front, and would that mean the arm (as many cars have) is the front?

Re: Out and Back
At the national competition they hinted very strongly that Out and Back will be replacing Electric Vehicle next year. It sounded like they have already decided for sure.

Re: Out and Back
The car can be larger than the box. The final distance is measured from the center of the box to wherever your pointer is. Overall this event doesn't seem to be extremely challenging. The only difficult part is getting the vehicle to go straight forward and backward(this might not be a problem if in the official rules they still allow you to start your vehicle from anywhere on the starting line).robotman09 wrote:most of the time the whole vehicle has to fit in the box
