Re: Out and Back
Hey! I helped run it at Nationals in '06; my (one of many) boss dreamed this one up. passing the question along to him and he should (no promises, since I'm not him) get back to you.
From the three times I've helped him run it, the 7 meters isn't the problem. It's getting the thing to return to the same spot. Bad aim seems to correct itself, but getting it to stop right back where it started from. . . . .
best one i ever saw was the one in '06 that almost went into an open elevator. i was prepared to follow it if it did!

Re: Out and Back
So is this like scrambler, where it goes a certain distance, only then it has to come back? Do you get to choose the distance?

Re: Out and Back
To the people who have seen this event before, my interpretation of the rules was that there was a starting line and a finish point. So if you knew you would have the correct distance but during the run your car goes right 5 cm left then you could start the car 5 cm to the right of the ending point so that it would end on the final point. Is that correct or do you have to start and finish in the exact same spot?

Re: Out and Back
This sounds really interesting. Maybe it'll replace scrambler next year?

Re: Out and Back
Hi, i was wondereing if the whole car had to fit in the 30 cm by 30 cm box or just a certain part, because my car is longer than thirty centimeters I thought that maybe it could be just the front, and would that mean the arm (as many cars have) is the front?
