Re: Disease Detectives B/C
The Disease Detectives Wiki is always a good place to start, as is the event page on soinc.org. Basically, this event focuses on epidemiology, so you should be able to examine various aspects of how diseases spread, etc. Can't say I've done this event myself, but plenty of people who have contributed to the Disease Detectives Wiki, and you can learn a lot from it.

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
Here's some food for thought.
Q: Given a case-control study;
a=exposed case patients,b=control exposed,c=unexposed case patients,d=unexposed control
a=50
b=22
c=43
d=12
Complete the following:
-Calculate the odds ratio.
-What does the odds ratio suggest?

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
How do you work through the relative risk equation and relative risk tells you how much more likely it is to to get a disease in a certain environment/situation relative to another right?
