Not official and worth a FAQ so the response is consistent, but as a coach I'd recommend concentrating on that second defintion of a canard aircraft with no horizontal stabilizer behind the wing to <SPAM URL CUT>.
With high speed launches and high ceilings, it seems like it might be very hard to get a proper launch with a stabilizer at the front. I can definitely see it being worth it to <SPAM URL CUT> for the lower ceilings at the VA state tournament though.
Thanks, gone.<SPAM POST CUT>

You certainly can "grow" one in a week, but the "fruit" won't be ripe. Depending how much time you cultivate will result in your success when it's time to harvest. First, read the rules carefully. Review last years forum, tons of info on how to build and fly. This event is not one of those 'one and done' events. You will have to build, fly, observe, adjust, maybe rebuild again, fly, observe....over and over. Keep a log of all that you do for evaluation later (very important and required). Did I mention.. read the rules carefully? Do a Google search Elastic launch Glider, check youtube - same tag. Try 'balsa glider'First time in gliders, how can I grow one in one week? Any specific seeds I should buy?
Freedom Flight hasn't come out with their 2014 kit yet, but Ward's Science has. I'm not sure about the quality of Ward's kit though.Just kidding, where can I buy an elastic glider that is legal for the competition, I need one by next week? Please help.
