they seem to have different coloration and eye color and different feet shapes

Gosh, I hope they always give us color pictures... Once at regionals for Amph & Rep, the procotor gave us black and white ones.

It'd be really hard to tell some of the birds apart if it weren't for coloration. (Of course, I know color isn't a very good thing to base most identifications off of because of lighting and constrast and color quality and all that, but it's a good place to start an identification...)

wouldnt it be a huge problem of u got black and white pictures for amphibians and reptiles. (Snake I.D)

no not really for reptile it is actually better to know the patterns rather than the colors when you are I.Ding something

going back to birds, have they put out the reccomended field guide for birds. im just curious

Does anybody know if they are going to allow student prepared binders this year? I think I would like that more than the field guides with added notes.

For the millionth time: NOBODY has rules yet! Nobody but officials know what resources will be allowed for events next year!

if birds is gonna take the place of a+r, then maybe they'll allow field guides...im not sure...
