Re: Solar System
Probably a good deal, since they are a part of the solar system. It's likely that they will be on the official rules.

Re: Solar System
I was just wondering.... we need to know the characteristics of the planets.... but in how much detail.... because a lot of information is covered in each planet's characteristics. Also, do you think we'll need to know the eccentricity, inclination, and stuff like that about each planet...... Also I'm pretty sure we'll need to know what each planet is made of, right?? One more thing.... will we have to know the basics about Earth's atmosphere???
Thanx guys

Re: Solar System
It's kind of hard to tell before the rules come out, but here's my thoughts if you're planning on studying over the summer...
Just learn the basics now, that way, when the rules do come out, you will already know the basics and will be able to go into the deeper, more complex stuff with plenty of time to spare.

Re: Solar System
Basics will probably be easier to learn and will be building blocks for more complex stuff.

Re: Solar System
It's the discovery of the first KBO!!! (Kuiper Belt Object)
The astronomer Dave Jewitt and his graduate student Jane Luu were looking for trans-Neptunian objects.
They were trying to find a faint asteroid among thousands of stars.
To accomplish this, they took many images of the same portion of the sky.
The stars stayed in the same location, but the asteroid slowly moved.
Voila! In 1992 they found the first KBO (now called 1992 QB1).
Now isn't that awesome?
