Well it isn't excatly like that, road scholar deals with topograpical maps and highway mapes, Here are some links to a topo map because most people have never seen one before.

Looks pretty hard right, well it is at first, takes a lot of work.

I've seen topo maps plenty of times--Earth Science

and yes I know what it deals with--my friend always did the topo maps for the event so he would tell me about it from what he said it sounded fun except for the part with the tests haveing a theme such as pirates  :?: :?

me and my partner(EASTstroudsburg13's littlest sister) got really focused on the highway maps because we realized we didn't know everything we needed to know for states, but then we forgot about the topos!!! talk about irony...

yeah, I've done this event twice and got 2nd at regionals and 1st at state but that was only b/c i had an awesome partner.
when i was first assigned this event, i was very upset at my coach b/c i hated this event, but now that i've learned so much in it, I lOVE IT!! I just want to say to anyone who may be new to this event and are doing it next year that it's really not as complicated as it may seem at first. I found the coach's manual SOOOOOOOOO helpful and would have died without it. Once you understand everything it's really fun.
8th at Nationals......In our 1st year.........finally, our chance to shine
