I was in CTW and Metric Mastery last year...
This is how it went
CTW
V:7th
JV:1st(me)
MM
V:6th
JV: didn't place as my idiotic partner didn't write our name and school on the paper so they had no record of us even being at the event.

Now this year I somehow got into Trajectory and Road Scholar. They merged that team and some other one. So then we had 16 kids trying to get into 8 slots. I didn't sign up for CTW this year, because after seeing the V last year fail horribly last year at state (I think they scored overall...50th maybe idk). Well my coach decided to cut and move some members of the team so that it would be less of a heartbreak for the other part of that 16 going to 8. So i got moved...backwell now I have an old event which is CTW and I also have Egg-o-naut. Well Im going to the wiki to find out more about eggo so you know...i can be learned :)

Heya, people, it's me again, obviously. ^-^
So, my friends were begging me to help them with CTW, so, I made this set of flashcards. They're pretty basic, just what will get you started... I figured, why not share it with you people, you're a pretty good bunch? So here you go.

That stuff doesn't help at all. (I used them last year. There's a few typos as well...)

All my studying was done off either the internet or a physics textbook. It helps to know stuff that you don't need to know too. (Snell's Law.)

I wouldn't say it doesnt help at all. That would be a good thing to use while starting off.

The two competions that I've done prob'ly arn't very good examples, but...
The first one (locals) was all written. There were no labs or anything, it was simply a test, like one at school. Mostly multiple choice and matching, with some diagram labeling and the such.
The second one (state) was mostly labs. I really can't remember what it was... I was sooo confused. Somehow, we were the least confused, though, but that's a different story.
Can't say 'bout nats; I got booted off the team, long story. I'm sure someone else here could tell ya.

And sorry if you thought they weren't that helpful, like I said, it's very basic stuff.

Weeeeell, see, this girl, we'll call her Sally, she decided that she didn't like me one day. And it happened to be the day when we had choir rehersal. My assigned spot was at the very edge of the top row. People like to stand in the top row, even though it isn't their assigned spot. So, I'm as crowded as can be anyway, and she decides to stand next to me so she can harrass me. I then had one foot hanging off the edge of the bleachers, which makes it fairly difficult to sing. So, I asked her to move back down. She said some foul language. I pulled her hair. She shoved me off. I took her down with me. She tackled me and began punching. We got in trouble. I got booted off the SciOly team.

Hope you enjoyed that little tidbit of that terrible day. xD
