Im mad at dinosaurs. They cost me first at states (i only got third).
It was kinda funny actually. We had a model of an Allosaurus skull, but my original partner (who i did fossils with at regionals) had made the dinosaur section of the binder, and had put an allosaurus skull picture for both allosaurus and apatosaurus. Since I basically refused to learn the dinosaurs, when i looked, i saw that the skull looked like both, but my partner and i decided that it looked more like the apatosaurus (though i knew what an apatosaurus looked like, i decided that my amazing binder couldnt very well be wrong). So that was bad.
And then I had a total brain fart and put plateosaurus instead of iguanadon. Im still not totally sure how that happened.
I'll take invertebrates over dinosaurs any day.

Invertebrates are easy! I think theres a certain level of uncertainty with dinos. I just don't like it.

Yeh I leave most of the dinos to my partner, however I do know some of the dinos by just looking at them.

Invertebrates are a whole lot easier, in my opinion. At Regionals, we even had a poster at one station to identify fossils from.
There once was a group of teens
Who were lean mean science machines.
They liked to win medals,
when everything settles
and their favorite color was green.

Dinos are pretty easy for me, considering I've wanted to be a paleontologist since I was four. I learned all of them from my picture books when I was little. However, how do you know the difference between corals and sponges? They look the same!
Science Olympiad is a tribute to Murphey's Law. This has been proven experimentally.
And no, I'm not a guy...even though my sig says will robsinson. It's a reference to Lost in Space, an ancient sci fi TV show. And the robot is the character who always says the line.
