The test at nationals was stupid. The test was from a book. Holt Earth Science. Are they really that lazy?

Yes.
I thought it wasnt terrible. I mean it was tedious, but the event always is.
It seemed to be a somewhat fair representation of questions.
2009 events:
Fossils: 1st @ reg. 3rd @ states (stupid dinosaurs...) 5th @ nats.
Dynamic: 1st @ reg. 19thish @ states, 18th @ nats
Herpetology (NOT the study of herpes): NA
Enviro Chem: 39th @ states =(
Cell Bio: 9th @ reg. 18th @ nats
Remote: 6th @ states 3rd @ Nats
Ecology: 5th @ Nats

Really? That's horrible. At least change the answers a little to make it somewhat your own. If it was a good test I guess I don't mind too much...

We were expecting the test to be a whole lot harder than it was(Division B). Our coach was like giving us all of this stuff on igneous rocks and there ended up being about 2 or 3 Qs on rocks.

It was from a textbook???? thats so weird. Was it like a practice test from the book, do textbooks have tests in them in the first place?

It's good there weren't too many questions about rocks I guess, because it's earthquakes and volcanoes. 2 to 3 questions seems about right, as it should be covered, but not focused on.

I thought nationals was supposed to be harder than regionals and state...

I can't believe they taught you how to do exponents. :x

Lol. yeah, the test was pretty weird.
they explained how to do everything for you. xD
i thought the test would be a lot lot harder.

I have a question.. for the portion of the test where you had to find the epicenter; what city did you get?
