We've Got You're Number

This is an event at my state, I was hoping that anybody could help. At regionals, my partner and I got 52 numbers (out of 100 of course). Is that any good for states?

Is this some sort of trial event?

No, it's one I had at regionals and will have it at state. Maybe it's only hosted in Texas, which is where I'm from

What's it about?

You get four random numbers from 1-9 and using those numbers:
Div. B: You use addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and exponents to create the numbers from 1-100. All four numbers must be used at a time and numbers can be combined to create a two or three digit number.
Div. C: Same although you can use any function that you;ve learned about. (ex. factorials, roots, etc.)
Ex: You have the number 2,2,4,4
2+2+4+4=12 ; that's one number
44/22 = 11 ; that's another
4+(2+4)^2 = 40 ; there's another

That sounds really fun and perfect for a math geek like me. Whenever I see addresses, I try to find out as many ways to get different numbers!

Yes, I know. It's very challenging when you have found most of the numbers, though. You think you have a good solution untill you find out that the number it spits out is one that you already have.

Does the number have to be an integer?

Yes, no fractions, whatsoever.(not even in the part where you're trying to find the number)

It sounds interesting, but I don't think that it'll become an event. It seems too math oriented, not enough science.
