Is it normally the case that regionals tests are normally very easy? I, in division B, have been looking at study materials for the division C counterpart in order to be extra prepared for the B contest, but the tests I encountered were completely elementary level, and I in turn overlooked the easy material.
Sine functions are quite odd, to be honest.

Do you mean in general or a particular event? I think it's always remember the easy stuff too. If you know the hard stuff, you should probably already know the easy stuff.

According to the note at the bottom of http://www.socalstatescioly.org/?tab=event, there will be 30 teams per division at SoCal state.
