How about getting all the other schools to wear ribbons with your school colors or a WM as a sign of solidarity?

It is up to them, but we don’t want our school to be in the way of the competition. All we want is for them to do amazingly in all their events and to make us proud in all their hard work and dedication to Scio. Also they need to remember if they show support it must be support of changing this policy; so no WM colors or signs related to our school. Thank you for all your support we love it. However, it is time to remember what our true aim is, and that is to protect students across the state and nation from rules such as this.

I honestly would think that going in your colors would be a good message. You're sort of like martyrs, and you should be honored.CW wrote:It is up to them, but we don’t want our school to be in the way of the competition. Again, that is entirely up to your discretion. Please don't do anything that would compromise the state tournament.

What will truly be disgraceful is if NYSSO fails to change their policy after this has happened to three teams in four years.
Edit: For this reason, we would love for all of you to continue to showing support by signing the petition, writing e-mails, or otherwise pressuring NYSSO to change their draconian policies, but NOT pressuring them to allow us to participate/castigating them for not doing so. That ship has clearly already sailed.

Mr. Miller may be required to follow the policies of the organization.
In looking at the NY state website, the organization is run by a 501c(3) organization with a board of directors. They appear, from the revisions to the policies, to meet in June of each year. I might recommend those with a grievance attend the meeting and ask that their concerns be heard. Depending on the by-laws of the organization, elections may also take place. If so, those with concerns may be able to get into a position to implement change.
I would ask for a copy of the organizational documents for the NYSSO organization and see if it indicates exactly who would need to agree to changes.
Good luck.
