Sorry for the delay.
You were kind of correct on its importance, but not on its location.
It is located in Alaska, and it is important because that is the go-to surging glacier glaciologists follow.

What are the types of moraines and where are they located on a glacier?

Obliquity: The earth wobbles on its axis. Varies on a 41,000 year cycle. Precession: The earth's orbit rotates compared to fixed stars. Varies on a 24,000-26,000 year cycle. Eccentricity: The earth orbits in an ellipse, not a circle, and is affected by gravity from other planets/stars/other large object thingies. Varies on a 100,000 year cycle.
