1) what type of legs do they have?
2) what are their "ears"?

Cantharidin

Just a quick question, but if meloidae secrete cantharidin, why do soldier beetles have the scientific name of cantharidae?
Edit : looked it up, apparently soldier beetles also secrete it, so nevermind
