At regionals we had to roll a marble down a straight path at different angles with an index card standing up (folded) at the bottem for resistance. There wasnt anythign else that you could do, and they told us to do that so it was pretty easy (though we got 7th

)

No, we got 6th. I think the fact that they told us EXACTLY what to do hurt us, because it gave the teams that hadn't prepared well enough a better chance. I really wish that supervisors stopped doing that.

) and try to make up your own experiment, they might take points off.

Well, if they already gave you instructions, you kinda have to know that you have to follow their experiment and not make up another one.
